THE POINT'S HOMETOWN HEROES: STORY OF THE YEAR

105.7 the Point is giving you unprecedented access to our Hometown Heroes, STORY OF THE YEAR, as they prepare to release their new record THE BLACK SWAN.

Originally formed here in St. Louis in 1995, Story of the Year broke onto the national music scene with their first major label release, PAGE AVENUE, in 2003. On the strength of singles "Until the Day I Die", "Sidewalks" and "Athem of Our Dying Day" - and a relentless touring schedule filled with intense performances - SotY carved themselves a place in the hearts of alternative rock fans everywhere. The follow-up records, IN THE WAKE OF DETERMINATION and the live set LIVE IN THE LOU / BASSASSINS, continued to tear up airwaves and cement their loyal fanbase.

Through it all, Story of the Year have never forgotten their roots in St. Louis. They love the Lou, the fans that helped propel them forward and the station that supported them as an unknown, unsigned band.
