The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced its Class of 2024. To be eligible, artists are required to have released their first record 25 years prior to Induction – LINK

Performer Category: artists who have created music whose originality, impact, and influence has changed the course of rock & roll. Five first time nominees were elected, and the complete list, In alphabetical order, is as follows:

• Mary J. Blige – second nomination
• Cher – first nomination
• Dave Matthews Band – second nomination & winner of Fan Vote
• Foreigner – first nomination
• Peter Frampton – first nomination
• Kool & the Gang – first nomination
• Ozzy Osbourne – first nomination
• A Tribe Called Quest – third nomination

Musical Influence Award: artists whose music and performance style have directly influenced, inspired, and evolved rock & roll and music impacting youth culture.

Musical Excellence Award: given to artists, musicians, songwriters and producers whose originality and influence creating music have had a dramatic impact on music.

Ahmet Ertegun Award: given to non-performing industry professionals who have had a major influence on the creative development and growth of rock & roll and music that has impacted youth culture.

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction will be held on October 19th at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. It will stream live on Disney+ with an ABC special airing at a later date and available on Hulu the next day.

The seven artists who were nominated but failed to garner enough votes are:

• Lenny Kravitz – sixth in Fan Vote
• Mariah Carey – eighth
• Sinéad O’Connor – ninth
• Oasis – 10th
• Sade – 11th
• Jane’s Addiction – 12th

Yesterday, Ryan Reynolds took to social media to announce that a brand-new trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine will be released online today.  Along with the teaser, we get a look at “Deadpool & Wolverine” with the official poster. Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26.

Seth McFarlane confirmed plans about a movie to Family Guy fans at PaleyFest, saying, “I have known what that movie will be for the past 15 years, and I just haven’t had the time to get to it, but I do know what it will be.” McFarlane’s also creating two unique episodes of ‘Family  Guy’ for Hulu; one for Halloween and another for Christmas – LINK

David Beckham has sued Mark Wahlberg’s F45 fitness company over deal that he says went sour.
